Frequently Asked Questions

Alerts

What email alerts can I subscribe to?

You can sign up to receive Publication Alerts, including Journals, Proceedings and eBooks. Topic Collection, Search, and Content Alerts are available, as well.

What are Publication Alerts?

This is an alert that will notify you of new content being published since the previous alert was released for selected publications, including Journals, Proceedings, and eBooks. These alerts are emailed twice monthly.

What are Search Alerts?

Search Alerts are sent out weekly and include any new Journal and Proceedings papers and eBook chapters published in the prior week that match the search criteria you designate. For example, you can sign up for search alerts for a specific search term or phrase, such as “solar cell.” An email alert will be sent when new content with the keywords “solar cell” has been published.

What are Topic Collection Alerts?

Topic Collections consist of major technology categories, such as Astronomy, Energy, Lasers and subtopics within those categories. An email alert will be sent twice monthly when a Topic Collection you selected is updated.

What are Article Alerts?

Article alerts notify you when an article has been updated (when an erratum is published or the paper is withdrawn, for example.)
