Abstract
This paper describes a proposed color video frame processor architecture. The structure of the processor allows the storage, replay, and processing of sampled composite or component NTSC or PAL television signals. A two-port memory architecture allows concurrent real-time sequential access for storage and display and random access for processing the stored image. Processing operations can be performed by both an embedded bit--slice controller and a host computer.
