Abstract
Dynamic fluorescein angiography is a method to study the peripheral blood flow of a patient. A sequence of photographs is taken after intravenous injection of fluorescein. These photographs have been digitized using the interactive image scanner OSIRIS. A calibration method has been developed to obtain comparable results from photo-sequences taken on different occasions. The temporal change in the examined area is studied, and the results are presented as one or more functional images. These are computer generated images, where the colours (or grey levels) represent a time scale. Information from the entire picture sequence is included in a functional image. Functional images have been generated for the appearance and saturation times. It has been possible to carry out this analysis on an ordinary 16-bit mini computer.
