Abstract
The principle of a two dimensions space division optical switching system is presented, featuring rotating mirrors which deviate parallel beams. In a first step a switching system has been developed using this method and its results are presented. In a second step, a 256 x 256 capacity switching system is foreseen, which will have the same dimensions as the first one.
