A new technique of image encoding with a computer-generated oriented speckle screen as the encoding element is presented. The high contrast and high diffraction efficiency of this kind of screen. enable the degree of modulation. of encoded transparency and the ratio of signal to noise (SNR) of the decoded image to be improved.
