Abstract
A broadly and easily tunable single mode pulsed laser emission has been obtained in the visible range (λ = 730 nm) using an injection like laser system. After amplifying, doubling and tripling in a Kr. cell, V.U.V. radiation near Lyman α was produced. High resolution Stark spectroscopy of atomic hydrogen 12S1/2 → 22P transition was performed.
