Abstract
This paper studied the style and characteristics of traditional woodblock New Year pictures, explored the potential of recreation and development of traditional Chinese zodiac signs, applied computer graphics and image processing software technology, comprehensively extracted, reconstructed and redesigned the graphics and color elements of the Chinese zodiac and New Year pictures, and further researched and created a unique design. The twelve zodiac graphics with Chinese tradition and national characteristics realize the combination of tradition and modern artistic aesthetics. Let more modern people re-recognize the Chinese zodiac and traditional New Year pictures, and call on people in modern society to pay more attention to and protect the traditional Chinese zodiac culture.
