Abstract
In hydrological calculation, Tyson polygon method is a commonly used method to calculate basin area rainfall. However, the Tyson polygon method lacks consideration of rainfall distribution in the basin, ignores the representativeness of rainfall stations in the basin, and does not consider the influence of characteristic factors such as elevation and location of rainfall stations. Especially when the basin area is small and there are only individual rainfall stations in the basin, the Tyson polygon method will have large errors. This paper mainly uses GIS to analyze the rainfall distribution characteristics of the basin, and uses different methods to analyze the rainfall distribution characteristics of the basin.
