Abstract
This article discusses the prospects for the use of composite materials for the equipment of space systems for remote sensing of the Earth. One of the development problems in the design of special-purpose equipment is disclosed. This problem is observed when using traditional materials in the design of special-purpose equipment. Its solution is the use of new composite materials that can provide the required characteristics with a margin of safety [1]. The most widely considered composite material is "SKELETON". Its strength and thermal characteristics were given [4]. On the example of an optoelectronic converter, a simulation of tests using this material was carried out. Based on the results of 3D modeling of strength tests and heat sink, a conclusion was made about the possible use of this material. Other composite materials were also given as an alternative.
