Abstract
After comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various parametric modeling methods, the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method is used to establish a manufacturing cost estimation model based on the overall engine parameters for a civil high bypass ratio turbofan engine, to estimate the manufacturing cost in support of value engineering and to conduct a trade-off analysis of product performance, weight, and cost design options.
