Abstract
The paper introduces the main contents of the revision of Technical Specification for the Design of Steel Supporting Structures of Overhead Transmission Line (DL/T 5486-2020) briefly and discusses the differences between the main regulations that have a greater impact on the design of transmission towers and the Technology for Design of Tower Structures for Overhead Transmission Lines (DL/T 5154-2012). The influence of the revision of the regulations on the general design of 35kV ~ 750kV towers was explored, and the optimization suggestions for the general design of towers were put forward.
