Abstract
Current training systems for substations still lack the tracking and analysis of trainee’s personalized characteristics during studying and training. In this work, we propose a user model construction method for substation trainees based on behavior analysis. The user model establishes an electronic portrait for trainees from the two dimensions of performance and ability. Behavior data of trainees relevant to studying and training are recorded in real time, restored in uniform xAPI-based format, and further analyzed to quantify individual characteristics. A test of the user model is carried out using our substation simulation learning system. The results indicate that, the user model intuitively displays the method, process, attitude, skill and knowledge scores of trainees in one week. Moreover, individual characteristics like motivation, weakness, etc. can be reasonably speculated from the user model of each trainee, which act as important references for subsequent targeted teaching advice and personalized content recommendations.
