Abstract
In modern high-tech warfare, precision-guided weapons and electro-optical reconnaissance systems are widely used. Setting false targets as an important means of military jamming, the survivability of protected targets depends largely on its electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness. The evaluation of false target electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness is an essential feedback mechanism in the process of false target design, manufacturing, and practical application. The performance of false targets can be effectively improved according to the feedback results. In the early stage, the evaluation of false target electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness mostly adopted the methods of field experiments and manual interpretation, which was greatly influenced by the subjective factors of observers. Since then, the evaluation methods of false target electrooptical deception jamming effectiveness tend to be diversified, multi-wavelength and intelligent, but generally lack systematic and standardized quantitative research. Therefore, how to quantitatively evaluate the electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness of false targets in peacetime and standardize the steps, requirements, indicators, and standards of false target detection and evaluation are difficult problems that need to be solved. To this end, this paper analyzes the main contents involved in the evaluation of false target electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness, including the current situation at home and abroad, evaluation models, evaluation standards, evaluation processes, etc. At the same time, it also points out the problems that need to be solved in the evaluation of false target electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness and looks forward to the development prospect of the evaluation of false target electro-optical deception jamming effectiveness.
