Abstract
The destruction of airborne targets by fragmentation warhead through fragmentation fields is generally measured by the probability of destruction as an indicator of damage effectiveness. The correlation function with target damage was selected as a characterisation of the effectiveness of warhead damage. The modeling of the killing space formed by the aerial explosion of a fragmentation warhead, the study of the influence of the explosive performance, the wall thickness and the number of fragments on the killing space, the analysis of the destruction capacity of the warhead on the target when it explodes in the air, and the design basis for the destruction of aerial targets by a fragmentation warhead.
