Abstract
In this paper, the customized algorithm to calculate interval beam pointing accuracy has been proposed. Based on the algorithm, the effect of interval excitation deviations of array antennas on the beam pointing accuracy is studied. The 10×10 array operating within X band with half wavelength is taken as an example to investigate the corresponding influence. The results show that compared with the traditional definition of interval beam pointing accuracy, the improved interval beam point accuracy can better reflect the influence of interval excitation deviations on the array performance. The conclusion can provide valuable suggestions for the mechanical design of phased array antennas.
