Abstract
Due to the unique sheet structure of two-dimensional (2D) MXene, it is widely used in electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Herein, a transparent and flexible EMI shielding film is proposed by combining MXene with nickel (Ni) mesh fabricated by mask exposure and a selective metal electrodeposited process through a convenient spin-coating method. Covering the MXene sheet with one-dimensional (1D) Ni grid lines improves the conductive network of the structure and its shielding efficiency (SE). The experimentally prepared MXene/Ni/PET film exhibits a visible light transmittance of about 79.46% at 550nm wavelength and a shielding efficiency of about 34.1dB for the X-rays. In addition, the absorption efficiency of the MXene/Ni/PET film increased. This MXene film has excellent EMI shielding performance and transparency. The mass production of this film is relatively simple. It has the potential for many applications, such as transparent display devices, smart windows, aircraft windshields, and other electromagnetic wave shielding-related domains.
