Abstract
With the increasing size of power grids, the updating of grid mode data has become a time-consuming and tedious task in grid analysis and calculation. Because of this, this paper develops an auxiliary software for updating grid mode data based on the PSD-BPA power system analysis software, intending to improve the efficiency of updating equipment parameters and regulating power flow convergence. The data is input in the first step to identify the zone that needs to be updated; the second step sorts and processes the data's massive amount of information; the third reads the processed data and calculates the old and new loads; the generator output is then automatically adjusted to improve the power flow convergence of the mode data, and the fourth step updates the calculation results into the original file to obtain the new power flow data. The fourth step is to update the calculation results into the original file to obtain new power flow data and complete the update of the operation mode data. The application results show that it is remarkable in shortening the calculation time, improving the efficiency of system analysis and reducing the probability of errors.
