Abstract
The conventional three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction simplifies the camera into a pinhole camera model. The simplified model may be limited by the change of the optical center when the working distance deviates from the calibration distance. A three-dimensional reconstruction method of defocused images based on optical system analysis was proposed. Firstly, an optical system model for the imaging system to be calibrated was established on a low number of image captures. Then according to the camera parameters calculated by calibrations under the proposed model, the relationship between the working distance and the camera parameters in depth of field was quantified. The camera parameters of different working positions were obtained in a single calibration, without repeated calibrations at different positions. The effectiveness of the proposed model in dealing with defocusing 3D reconstruction is proved by experiments.
