Abstract
In view of the offshore oilfield gas injection development, the interaction between the high-speed flowing fluid in the coiled tubing and the environmental medium may lead to the erosion of the coiled tubing wall, causing the failure and fracture of the coiled tubing. By carrying out the offshore oilfield gas injection well erosion test, the coiled tubing erosion in W oilfield gas injection wells under marine environment has been studied in depth to analyze the degree of coiled tubing erosion damage under different radii of curvature, and to provide an important basis for the selection of subsequent coiled tubing materials. The results show that the erosion shear stress is the largest and the erosion damage is the most serious at the middle section (midpoint) of the bent coiled tubing; the smaller the radius of curvature, the more serious the erosion damage is, and it is recommended to avoid high curvature bending during the use of coiled tubing for gas injection wells in the field.
