Abstract

A flowmeter has been developed on the basis of our earlier prototype, "A novel fibre optics flowmeter"1. The new version has a greatly improved signal quality. It detects the flow direction, which the previous version did not do. Compared with normal LDA systems, this flowmeter has the advantages of high mobility, simple installation and low cost.
