Abstract

The operation of an efficient, cw, TEM₀₀ mode Nd:YAG laser end-pumped by a laser diode has been achieved. The maximum output was 0.65 W. A 51% slope efficiency and 40.6% overall optical efficiency were obtained. Coupling optics and laser configuration are described in this paper.
