Abstract
From the view point of target detection, the combined image of spacecraft's own external atmosphere particles is equivalent to some background noise. Therefore the received (or observed) field is the combination of target, background and photodetector noise components. In the paper statistical properties of received field are defined. On the base of statistical field model the point target detection algorithm is created. The relationships between probability of right detection and parameter of defocusing under changes of background intensity are numerically calculated.
