14 November 1996 SAR image enhancement algorithm based on region division

Abstract
SAR gets 2D high resolution images of the earth, but its coherent imaging principle brings its images with serious speckle noise, seriously reduced the image quality. Speckle reduction and edge-information protection are contrary goals in SAR image enhancement, hard to be solved in present processing methods. The algorithm put forward in this paper successfully solved this contradiction, experiments show that this algorithm reduce speckle well, and protect image edge-information well.
