Abstract
Application sharing is a key function for collaboration in multimedia conferencing. Application sharing have a role of a shared workspace in the virtual space by having an application of a private user in a particular system be shared in real time by multiple user who are distributed geographically. In this paper, we develop the application sharing development toolkit (ASDT) for collaboration in multimedia conferencing and implement a multimedia application sharing system (MASS) having a fully distributed control architecture using ASDT. MASS has functions of multipoint application sharing, white board, text chat, and vote.
