Abstract
A series of universal super twisted nematic modules with the information capacity of 240 64, 240 128 and 320 240 pixels with built-in driver shave been obtained in the 'chip-on- glass' technology. The process of shaping of an oriented STN-layer of a liquid crystal was optimized. The phenomenon of a hysteresis is minimized at a level of multiplexing up to D equals 1:240 with magnitude of contrast not less than 75 percent and switching time about 170 ms.
