Abstract
A projection moiré topography using two liquid crystal (LC) grating devices is proposed using frequency modulation. The moiré contour can be obtained by changing the LC grating pitch. It is possible to remove the original grating by electrically varying the period and averaging appropriately. Both a frequency modulation and a phase shift technique are applicable to this system because of the LC grating device. Some experimental results are presented.
