Abstract
We present a theoretical analysis of transmission characteristic of THz waves in liquid-crystal-filled Bragg fiber controlled by an external magnetic field. Detailed calculations on the band of the cladding and the filed distribution in Bragg fiber demonstrate the on-off switching property. Finite Element Method (FEM) is used to calculate the extinction ratio of the switch which reaches to 39.93dB.
