Abstract
We introduce the linear system transfer matrix H as a means to interpret classical optical sensing, such as imaging and spectroscopy, and new computational sensing. This representation allows us to identify PSF engineering and multiplexed measurements as duals of each other. We also consider several new computational sensing systems and identify the corresponding system matrix.
