New journals
A new SPIE journal entitled SPIE Reviews began publication on the SPIE Digital Library in January 2010. SPIE Reviews is a fully open-access journal publishing invited review articles covering the state of the art of emerging and rapidly evolving optics and photonics technologies and their applications.
Later in 2010, SPIE will begin publication of a new e-journal entitled Journal of Photonics for Energy (JPE). JPE will publish papers on fundamental and applied research areas focused on the applications of photonics for energy harvesting, conversion, storage, distribution, monitoring, consumption, and efficient usage.
