As the technology continues to mature, the energy-saving effect of LED lights is becoming more and more prominent, and the use of free-form lenses to control and optimize the lighting effect in LED lighting is a popular research direction. Previous LED lighting design often uses the empirical method, which does not require theoretical derivation and complex programming. However, the designer needs to have rich design experience, and the whole design process is very inefficient and difficult to obtain good lighting effects. Therefore, the empirical method is not suitable for free-form lighting systems with LED light sources. In this paper, through an in-depth study of non-imaging optical theory, the energy mapping relationship between the light source and the target surface is established by the grid division method, and a free-form lens is designed to realize rectangular spot lighting, and the illumination uniformity of the target receiving surface is 91.61% in the lighting range after simulation, and the output light efficiency of the system is 96.5%.
