Night vision goggle, as one of the main means of individual night reconnaissance in modern war, are widely used in the US Army. Based on the application requirements of night vision goggle in modern battlefield environment, this paper reviews and summarizes the night vision goggle of the US Army in the past half century and focuses on the analysis of the tactical and technical characteristics of the two series of products, the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle (ENVG) and the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS), which are newly equipped in recent years. Finally, the technical development trend and path of the US Army night vision goggle are analyzed and summarized.
