In this article is presented the selection method of the single mode telecommunication fiber to the electromagnetic filed
sensors which can measure the constant and alternating currents. This method allows the selection of the optical fiber to
the sensor depending on the measured parameters.
In this paper is presented the subject of Polarization Mode Dispersion - PMD, that is characteristic for single mode
optical fiber transmission. There is shown interferometric method of measurement PMD and example statistical
analysis of measurement results, and a way of making conclusions.
