The rapid development of integrated optics provides the possibility of further reducing the volume and weight of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) by integrating the optical driver module. In this paper, a novel integrated optical transceiver (IOT) for miniaturized three-axis FOG is proposed and simulated. A waveguide structure without cross-propagation or smallbending is presented to replace the coupler groups in traditional FOGs, and then coupled to the optical source and detector to form the IOT. The proposed IOT is promising in the improvement of the reliability of FOG as well as the simplification of the assembly process, showing great significance for the miniaturization of FOG.
