In order to improve the utilization efficiency of cultural buildings, architects often design them as multi-purpose venues.
This paper introduces the design of a multi-purpose concert hall built in Fuzhou New District. In order to meet multipurpose
performances, including large-scale symphony and organ music, small-scale orchestral and solo performance,
adjustable acoustic curtains have been implemented into this hall for tuning its acoustical response. The results of
simulation and measurement show that this hall has adjustable reverberation in suitable range and is respond to the set
design demands.
