This paper presents a novel method of measuring acceleration based on the special D-shaped fiber Bragg grating(DFBG).
The accelerometer has several features: small size and light weight, simple structure, and detecting both very low
frequency (on the order of 0.1 Hz) and small acceleration (1.15 ×10-3g). The sensitivity of the accelerometer reaches
563.67με/g.
