Abstract
In this talk, I will present our recent development on the “Meta”-optical fiber integrated with optical plasmonic nanocircuits and epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) materials. I will present the integrated plasmonic network (e.g. directional coupler and resonator) powered by the core mode of optical fiber. I will also discuss the first experimental demonstration of optically confined ENZ resonance excitation in an optical fiber waveguide uniformly coated with AZO nanolayer. The integration of plasmonic/ENZ nanocircuits and optical fiber will open the path to revolutionary ultracompact in-fiber optical devices for optical communication, imaging, sensing/laser applications.
