Abstract

It is shown that the treatment of potato tubers with growth regulators (the preparations “Epin-Extra”, “Zircon”, “Siliplant”) results in the increase in fluorescent parameter (F_M−F_T)/F_T of plants grown from these tubers, indicating on the increase in the photosynthetic activity of the plants. The treatment of potato seed tubers with growth regulators and also with their mixtures with a fungicide “Maxim KS” contributed to the optimization of a number of physiological indices: it reduced the tubers mass decrease under prolonged storage, the degree of their affection by the diseases, and also the consumption of the nutritious substances. This treatment resulted also in the increase in the subsequent potatoes yield. The high positive correlation was established between the fluorescent parameter (F_M−F_T)/F_T of the leaves, on the one hand, and potatoes yield at various variants of it treatment before storage, - on the other.
