Abstract
The fault current through ground grid would cause maldistribution of ground potential rise, with the harm of transfer potential between the substation and outside concerned about more than Substation Interior Transfer Potential. Taking the two events of lawn fire in 220kV Enping Substation for example, by calculating the transient ground potential rise distribution inner the substation during 110kV Entian Line single phase ground fault outside the substation, we point out the substation interior transfer potential would form a high transient potential difference, there brings a high risk of spark discharge if the conductors are close enough. The solution against substation interior transfer potential is given based on insulation, such as the better management of low-voltage lines and keeping enough distance between the lawn and ground conductor, the full-metal outgoing line frame also in favor of the ground potential difference improvement.
