Abstract
Gas is an important energy medium for steel companies, including coke oven gas, blast furnace gas, converter gas and other categories. The amount of gas is large,and the equipment devices involving gas are huge in steel companies. Gas pipelines are also spread all over. Therefore, there are potential accidents such as poisoning, suffocation, fire and explosion. The consequences of the accident are often very serious. In this paper, the main problems of gas safety management of steel enterprises are analyzed, and the potential reasons for the problems are studied. The framework and core index of the standard of steel enterprise gas safety management prepared by the project team are fully introduced. The release and implementation of the standard is conducive to promoting safety management in steel companies.
