Abstract
In order to work out the problems in low light efficiency, bad thermal performance and limited operating distance , a hard light dazzler based on the high-power HID lamp is studied in this paper. By means of the optimization of spot size, stroboscopic control and light efficiency, the illuminance, the beam-divergence angle and the heat dissipation are improved a lot, which is verified in tests. With the characteristics of flexible mounting and convenient operation, the hard light dazzler has already been widely used in some harsh environments such as ships, islands and reefs.
