Abstract
Aiming at the structure of a type of radar antenna main tower, the topology optimized weight reduction design and research were carried out by the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench. A three-dimensional model of the radar antenna main tower was established, and its structure was topologically optimized with the unit material density as the design variable, the mass retention percentage as the response constraint, and the minimum compliance as the optimization objective. After optimization, the mass of the radar antenna main tower is reduced by about 17.8%, while its structural static strength and modal properties remain the same as before optimization.
