Abstract
The urban road access is an important connecting section for vehicles to enter or leave urban roads from buildings, and is also the location where traffic conflicts are easily to occur especially when pedestrians passing on the sidewalk. This paper sums up several types of traffic organization of urban road access, summarizes the principles of traffic organization optimization. On this basis, builds evaluation index system, uses Analytic Hierarchy Process to evaluate how about of the traffic organization at an urban road access, and analyzes the key points of optimization which include defining the traffic space and path of various traffic modes, clearing traffic guidance, and important safety protection measures. For the common types of road access, the detailed methods and examples of traffic organization at road access are given.
