Abstract
This paper studies the topic of mobile phone directly connecting to the satellite network, which is also called satellite-to-cellular service. Based on the introduction of present technology developing status, key technologies and potential challenges of 5G Non-terrestrial Network are analyzed, then potential problems and insights are provided for the deployment and application of satellite-to-cellular service. Finally, the roadmap of satellite-to-cellular service and even the vision of future integrated satellite-terrestrial communication are also explored from the evolution perspective.
