Abstract
Since wind turbine blades are exposed to harsh environment for a long time, they are very easy to produce defects and can cause serious economic losses, so this paper proposes a wind turbine blade defect detection method. Firstly, the background separation is performed on the acquired image, and the multi-scale Retinex algorithm is used to enhance the image. Then, findcontour and contourarea operators are used to extract the contour of the blade defect area. The experimental results are good and can meet the practical application requirements of burner blade defect detection.
