Abstract
This study explores the relationship between color design and the readability of navigation interfaces during cycling. The research analyzes the color composition and contrast of the navigation interfaces of Meituan-Waimai and Ele.me, two online food delivery platforms in China. Questionnaires were distributed to food delivery riders to gather their evaluations of interface readability. The study finds that higher RGB and HSV contrast contribute to improved readability, while the use of bright colors, such as yellow, enhances visibility and attention. Additionally, optimizing HSV contrast can enhance readability by increasing differences in hue, saturation, and brightness. The study emphasizes the importance of balancing practicality and pleasurable experiences in interface design. Overall, the findings provide valuable insights for intelligent display design and can serve as a reference for enhancing navigation information readability.
