Abstract
This work aims to explore the design of intangible cultural heritage black copper infused with silver patterns based on artificial intelligence. It provides a detailed introduction to the process and classification of black copper infused with silver craftsmanship. By conducting a thorough analysis of the characteristics of the black copper infused with silver craftsmanship and the classification of traditional patterns, a digital generation model for black copper infused with silver patterns based on artificial intelligence is constructed. The objective evaluation is performed using FID values, and subjective evaluations are obtained through a questionnaire survey from professionals and practitioners. The overall assessment encompasses the generated patterns' quality, diversity, attractiveness, and inspiration. The experimental results indicate that the AI-assisted generative model has achieved a certain degree of success in generating various types of black copper infused with silver patterns, particularly excelling in the category of textual patterns with an FID value of 121.54, indicating a high similarity to real image data. Additionally, the FID values for abstract and symbolic patterns are 134.67, geometric patterns are 145.32, and animal patterns are 157.89, showing lower similarity, attributed to the complexity of their morphology, texture, and the high demands placed on the generative model. In subjective evaluation results, professionals and practitioners express high satisfaction with the AI-assisted generated patterns, particularly those practitioners who show slightly higher satisfaction. Textual patterns receive an average satisfaction score of 4.5, and abstract and symbolic patterns score of 4.2, indicating high attractiveness and design quality. The satisfaction score for animal patterns was relatively lower (2.7), suggesting the need for further optimization of the AI model to enhance the quality of generating complex patterns. This work holds profound significance for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage, the modernization of traditional crafts, and the promotion of design innovation. It injects new vitality into traditional craftsmanship by digitally generating patterns, and provides valuable insights for the sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage.
