Abstract
With the advancement of technology, stereoscopic distance measurement techniques, especially binocular vision technology, have gained significant attention for their high efficiency, low cost, and strong anti-interference capabilities. A binocular distance measurement system based on FPGA boasts excellent scalability, low power consumption, and high performance. This study has designed a binocular vision distance measurement system based on FPGA, which simulates the human visual center by transforming the image color space and conducting edge detection. The system utilizes the Census algorithm to detect object positions and successfully calculates the distance with an error within 1cm. This design is characterized by low hardware cost, practicality, and has a wide potential for application.
