Abstract
The application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology promotes refined management in various fields. This paper proposes an IoT-based medical waste management and tracking system to implement closed-loop digital management of medical waste throughout its entire life cycle, from generation, transportation, storage to disposal. The system visualizes key stages of medical waste collection, storage, and transportation across multiple hospital campuses, enabling real-time data transmission and traceability. This unified and standardized digital management process improves the overall operational efficiency and homogeneity of medical waste management across multiple campuses, facilitating resource optimization and enhancing service quality and management level. Ultimately, the system aims to better serve patients.
