Abstract
In order to accelerate the development of research on superhighways (design speed over 120km/h) in China and provide feasible data support, the sample data applicable to the classification of superhighways in China were obtained by analyzing and researching a number of indexes with the HighD dataset of German highways as the data base. On this basis, the traffic characteristics of traffic volume, speed, acceleration, headway and headway spacing and other characteristic parameters of superhighway sections are analyzed and studied through the data statistical analysis method, and the distribution of each characteristic parameter and the index value of the distribution characteristics are obtained, which provides a reference of the traffic flow characteristics for the study of domestic superhighway, and the data basis for the construction of the microscopic model and the calibration of the model parameters.
