Abstract
We tried to synthetize some of the most important features of the Low Energy Lasers (LEL) medical applications following this plan: definition, medical application, hypothesis of action, characters of the laser light and their medical importance, practical methodology, and our clinical experience. We finish with some proposals of scientific standards for comparative clinical and experimental studies which we think necessary for a common language and with contraindications and side effects. The study of the LEL clinical effects and mechanisms of action, attracted in the last year many scientists coming from various fields: medicine, biology, biochemistry, biophysics, etc. So we think very useful to synthetize some important aspects of the LEL.
